January, 2005 (Cont.)
| The first small house, noting the backyard play equipment, will be MISS HAVEN’S DAYCARE & NATIONAL REPUBLICAN HEADQUARTERS. [Inside joke for my daughter.] Some deer have walked out into the clearing on the hillside behind the house. |
The houses along the highway are well manicured and have backyards equipped for entertaining. Picnic, anyone?

The BUSINESS DISTRICT table can be pulled away from the layout, as witnessed by the wide crack in the ground to the left of the truck in this picture. I will need to pull this section away at least one more time for scenery work along the 7-11 side of the highway. However, when that is completed, I will spackle these cracks and sprinkle ground cover to hide them.

Here, a BN GP-50, labors up a grade behind the residential area with several loaded gondolas. The many different brands of tree kits have helped me form this somewhat “leafy” tunnel up the side of the mountain.

This is the first view of the TEXACO OIL TERMINAL that the engineer will see as his train reaches the apex of the grade . . .
This
is a tighter shot of the terminal than has appeared in my pages so
far. The tankers are a part of my only CONRAIL consist,
headed by a Mantua GP-20, the second engine, after the SPSF, that
I purchased a decade ago when I decided to join the ranks of the
“World’s Greatest Hobby!” . . .
