One of two extra shots around the layout. This is the entrance for trucks to the OIL TERMINAL and it is located under three railroad bridges in the only cut in the raised “mountain plateau” loop.

And finally, what do you do scenic-wise, when all you have is a corner on the layout in the middle of nowhere? I opted to lay in a highway, install a billboard on the far side of the tracks, and, since I live in a college town, make some room for the traditional COLLEGE TOWN GRAFFITI ROCK! [This one just happens to feature all my family’s initials or names and somebody named Joe who appears to have “commitment” problems. ]

Sure, it’s a bit personal, but remember, it’s the “Any-Time-Any-Spring-Run-Any-Engine-I-Want-to-No-Matter-What-Era- Because-It’s-My-Table-And-I-Built-It-And-IT’S-MY-GRAFFITI-ROCK-and-I- Can-Do-Whatever-I-Want-to” HO Train Layout!

Best wishes for the new year.

(More later in the spring.)
