Tunnel Construction             

 

Flattening the form, I cover BOTH sides with painters tape, being sure to press through the wire, exaggerating the wire mesh . . .

Like my “rock face”, I paint one side of the mesh with dark gray paint. .

 


And then, again, like the “rock face”, I dry brush the “ridges” with lighter gray . . .

Folded back into its original shape and stapled to the table, the portals are positioned at the tunnel openings. (Of course, the “blue” is simply light shining through the tape. This will disappear as the project continues.)


Next project is to erect the wall at the edge of the table corner.

And then with the addition of excessive wads of newspaper, Bounty towels, plaster of paris, latex paint, polyfiber, and blown ground cover, we arrive at this point in the construction . . .
